![]() Viking Theatre kicked off the 2018-2019 school year with its production of Peter and the Starcatcher in September. A magical re-telling of the familiar Peter Pan story, Starcatcher follows three orphans, a band of pirates, and an adventurous young girl on a journey to discover who they really are and what matters most along the way. Pictured left is senior Trey Weltens as Fighting Prawn, senior Grace Hendrix as Smee, and junior Abby Martin as one of the Mollusk Natives in the dramatic start to Act II. Starcatcher held five performances in the Bryan High School Blackbox, adding the fifth after the first four sold out with lighting speed. Beyond IT Forensics generously sponsored the production, and the Gracely family sponsored one performance so that students could attend for free.

I was in this live show once and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Well, I got cast through the help of my friend, and that is how my career began. I never really thought about being an actor, but I am glad that I decided to become one. Acting has been the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I am nothing without acting, which is why I am eternally grateful to all of you.
