UIL One-Act Plays

All OAPs from this year and years past. What is OAP? The UIL One-Act Play contest is a yearly competition, where theatre programs perform a One-Act(or an abridged version) of a play. It must be under 40 minutes, and there are strict timing rules for set up, take down, and run time. Accompanying these rules is a generic collection of set pieces and healthy competition all to be critiqued by a panel of three judges. There are six possible levels of competition: Zone, District, Bi-District, Area, Region, and State. Awards ceremonies will follow each competition. Actors and crew members may receive awards, and three productions will be selected to advance to the next level of competition. At the Regional Level, only two will advance to State. Awards ceremonies are followed up with judge critiques for each of the schools.
